Vacancies on our Board
Terms of office for governors of St Dunstan’s Education Group run for 5 years and can be extended by a further 5 years, to a maximum of 10 years for any post-holder. As a Board of 15, we normally have at least one vacancy occurring in any one year. The Board targets diversity of thinking, skills and background. It also aspires to best represent the pupils and families is serves. With this in mind, when vacancies do occur, posts are ordinarily advertised with a specific need in mind. To seek the best possible candidates to fulfil that brief we are delighted to work in partnership with Nurole, a specialist recruiter for non-executive positions.
We will advertise board vacancies widely when they become available, including on this website, but should you wish to lodge an interest in becoming a governor, you should reach out directly to Caroline Olsen from Nurole on caroline.olsen@nurole.com, who can discuss what you might bring to the Board and add you to our pool of prospective future applicants.
Governors attend meetings each term and may join committees or take on specific roles. Training and support are provided to help governors succeed in the role.
